KMS Kalai Ulagam Trust organizes Farming and Harvesting Awareness Programs in rural villages with the aim of supporting farmers and improving agricultural practices. Agriculture is the backbone of rural communities, and many farmers still rely on traditional methods that may limit productivity and sustainability. Through this program, the Trust works to educate and empower farmers with modern farming knowledge, better harvesting techniques, and sustainable agricultural practices.
The awareness program focuses on providing practical guidance on soil preparation, seed selection, water management, organic farming, pest control, crop protection, and efficient harvesting methods. Agricultural experts, experienced farmers, and volunteers participate in these sessions to share valuable knowledge and demonstrations. The program also encourages farmers to adopt eco-friendly farming methods that protect the environment while improving crop yield. Special attention is given to small and marginal farmers who may not have easy access to modern agricultural information and resources.
In addition to training sessions, the Trust conducts field demonstrations, interactive workshops, and group discussions where farmers can ask questions and share their experiences. Educational materials such as pamphlets and guides are distributed to help farmers remember and apply the techniques they learn.
